Mike's A Big Cheater
For the past two years Charles has held the title of ‘Big Cheater’. Yes, that’s right, cheater. As in someone who skirts the rules in order to win. Google defines it as ”engage in deceitful behavior; practice trickery or fraud”. Why is Charles a cheater? Well for two years Charles somehow managed to always defeat me in Quake3 (or mod thereof). For example, I’d be crouching behind a wall shooting five magazines worth of ammunition directly at Charles but somehow all of those bullets would ’magically’ miss him and he’d run up and slice me with his knife. Nice. Recently, though, we’ve been playing Enemy Territory online and have usually been on the same team. But Charles was stuck with the name since there was no one to take away the title.
Enter in Mike and the 2005 Zymeta Hockey Pool. We’re only a dozen games into the season and somehow Mike has 112 points. He’s almost thirty points ahead of Dean who’s in second place. What the..? Right now there’s a huge battle between four people in the 70’s and myself and three others in a battle in the 60’s. But Mike stands alone at the top, so much so that I can’t even see him on the horizon anymore. If there were a couple people up that high I could understand but when it’s just one person I am forced to cry foul play.
As such, I’m announcing that Charles is no longer the title holder because Mike has taken over as the ‘Big Cheater’. Well done Mike… I think. Oh, and for the record I think that Charles is still a cheater; just not the Big Cheater.
